Madison Magazine Readers Name Charles Lazzareschi Best Local Chef
Madison Magazine readers voted Charles Lazzareschi, Executive Chef for The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club, Best Local Chef in the 2008 reader poll.
This year mark’s the 27th anniversary of the popular annual readers’ poll featuring 329 reader’s picks for the very best of Madison. The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club, Madison’s largest hotel, was also awarded Best Business Hotel and Best Brunch.
“We are thrilled that Charles has been recognized by the readers of Madison Magazine,” said Stephen Zanoni, general manager.
Charles manages the day-to-day food and beverage operations of the hotel including banquet functions and the new Dayton Street Grille, offering contemporary American cuisine with global influences. The evening menu features entrees paired with three signature sauces designed to create sweet, savory and spicy flavor combinations.
Born in San Francisco, Charles studied at the California Culinary Academy and has worked in hotel kitchens for the past 12 years. He can be seen monthly on WKOW’s Wake Up Wisconsin.
