AM Restaurant Server

Part Time – Morning shifts from 6am-2pm. Saturday and Sunday. Possible other weekday shifts available if interested.
Serves food and beverages to guests in the restaurant. Follows procedures in taking guest’s order i.e., uses MICROS system correctly and to its fullest capacity. Serves guests’ order promptly and according to established standards, policies and procedures. Smiles! Knows all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relays that information to the guest in a direct, concise way. Checks food before serving it to guests to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct, and accompaniments are complete. Does all pre-opening, running and after closing side work according to side work lists. Previous serving experience is preferred, but will train the right individual.

Banquet Server

Part Time – Must be flexible. Must be available to work Friday and Saturdays. Additional availability a plus. This is a year round position.
Responsible for meal set-up, service of food and clean-up for each meal function while providing outstanding service to our guests. Must be able to work as part of a team. Previous serving experience a must in a banquet and/or restaurant setting. This position will require carrying trays of 8-10 plated meals. Outgoing, pleasant personality a must!

Bartender

Part Time – Shifts vary throughout the work week.
Greet and serve guests at the bar. Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications. Serve drinks and food to guests, along with filling orders for the Food and Cocktail Servers. Write drink orders. Handle cash and credit transactions. Clean and change ash trays and empty trash cans as necessary. Fill and clean ice bins. Stock beer and liquor. Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders and soda guns. Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests. Record accurate “tip out” sheets. Previous serving and/or bartending experience a must. Current Operator’s License required upon hire. Pleasant, professional personality a must!

Bell Person

Part Time: 7-3pm, 3pm-11pm and other varied shifts. Additional availability a plus. This is a year round position.
Welcomes guest to the hotel. Transports guests in hotel vehicles to downtown areas and to/from the airport/corporate campuses. Helps to maintain and keep vehicles clean. Escorts incoming and outgoing hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions. Inspects guest’s room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate. Explains features of room such as operation of radio, television, and night lock, how to place telephone calls and location of emergency exits. Delivers messages, packages and suitcases and runs errands. Picks up articles for laundry and delivers dry cleaning to rooms. Valets cars for guests. Performs basic concierge service at the request of guests.

This position requires exceptional hospitality skills and English language communication skills. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all time. Must have the ability to lift up to 45 pounds and the ability to lift and carry heavy packages and luggage, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling and walk significant distances. Driving the hotel’s shuttle vans and valeting guest vehicles are a large part of this job so applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record and will be subject to a driver history check (MVR).

Floor Care Attendant

This is a PART TIME position. Shifts are three shifts per week with hours 12AM-5AM.
Scrubs, sweeps, waxes and polishes floors. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies. Washes walls, ceilings and woodworks. Polishes metalwork. Moves and arranges furniture. Cleans lobbies, lounges, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms and other work areas. Shampoo and clean carpets as needed. Other Housekeeping duties may be required. This job requires lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently standing, walking, bending and stooping. Must be able to communicate in English.

Front Desk Agent

Full Time This position will be 4-5 shifts per week. Shifts between 7AM-3PM and 3PM-11PM. Must be flexible to include weekends and holidays.
Greet and register incoming guests, ensuring that guests are properly introduced to the hotel and its amenities. Process guest folios and collect payment. Administer and manage cash handling responsibilities. Provide appropriate phone etiquette to all callers. Maintain efficient and effective flow of information with guests, team members, managers, and sales department, housekeeping and food and beverage departments. Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and with courtesy. Relay appropriate tourism information to guests about local areas of interest. Prepare for guest arrivals. Receive and distribute guest mail and deliveries. Control inventory and distribution of hotel keys. Knowledge of the Madison area and attractions strongly preferred. Applicants with previous experience are preferred; applicants with a customer service background are strongly preferred. Outgoing, pleasant personality a must!

General Maintenance Engineer

Full Time Shifts are 7AM-3PM Monday-Friday and two rotating weekend shifts a month to include 7AM-3PM/3PM-11PM Saturday and Sunday.
Maintains the physical functionality of facility including guest rooms, public space and work areas. Responds to guest calls and team member work orders to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment. Performs a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry. Inspects guest rooms, public space and work areas for needed and preventative maintenance. Records and reports completed repairs and items that need further attention or that require placing a room “out of order.” Previous experience in a corporate facilities maintenance position is required.

Housekeeping Room Attendant

The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join our team as a Housekeeping Room Attendant. Room Attendants are responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests. The right housekeeper must be able to communicate in English and have good organizational abilities, follow up-skills, and attention to detail in their work.
Full Time – Shifts beginning at 7:30AM. Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.

PM Governor’s Club Concierge

Part Time – Shifts 3:30PM-11PM. Acts as an ambassador of the hotel on the Governor’s Club levels. Responsible for maintaining the Governor’s Club lounge and supporting the bartender for breakfast and evening cocktail operations. Provides support and concierge services for all Governor’s Club guests such as making reservations, transportation arrangements, delivers amenities to guest rooms and serving as guest service representatives.
Knowledge of the Madison area and attractions strongly preferred. Applicants with previous experience are preferred; applicants with a customer service background are strongly preferred. Outgoing, pleasant personality a must!

Reservations Agent

Part Time Shifts are 4PM-7PM/4PM10PM weekdays and 8AM-4PM/4PM-10PM weekends.
Process all reservation requests in a call center environment, including changes and cancellations by phone, fax or others channels for all properties. Determine callers’ needs through active listening and using probing questions to satisfy and sell to those needs. Maintains a complete knowledge of the property in order to effectively sell the hotel and its’ services. Answer all phones calls using proper selling techniques and maintaining the utmost in professionalism while personalizing each call. Utilize the sales training plan to upgrade selling skills of the top agents. Input correct information into proper fields including proper use of guest history, source, origin, booking number, rate, room type, name address, telephone, and email. Recap all reservation information with each caller and communicate guarantee and cancellation policies. Must have excellent telephone etiquette and possess basic computer knowledge.

Sous Chef

Full Time – shifts are primarily AM but must be flexible, weekends and holidays.

Performs duties in all cook classifications and is responsible for overseeing food preparation on all shifts focusing on banquets, restaurant, bakery and cafeteria. Keeps walk-ins, cooking line and food prep up to standards, following food and health department regulations. Responsibilities also including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

This position will be working directly with guests and catering sales managers. Ideal candidate must be creative, with in depth knowledge of industry trend and have strong technical and organizational skills. Must be goal oriented with an ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans. Five years of restaurant cooking experience and at least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
