Banquet Bartender

We are looking for a part-time Banquet Bartender to work 1-3 shifts per week, including Friday and Saturday nights. The wage is $4.93 per hour, plus tips.

Set up bar with all necessary supplies including requisitioning proper amounts of beer. Receive beer orders from wait staff or guests and prepare the desired drinks. Maintain portion controls. Responsible for cash box and filling out banquet bills and making proper cash deposits. Operate bar equipment. Organized so that they can set up bas as contracted and be open on time. Legally responsible for service of alcohol. According to Wisconsin State Law, all bartenders must be 18 years or older.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Extraordinary Service:

  • Ensure all department, hotel and state rules and regulations are upheld by bartenders at all times.
  • Make sure the event is ready to go on time as per contract requirements and all function details are carried through by making sure the scheduled employee is present and briefed on his/her function.
  • Make sure the event is properly open and closed;
  • Make sure all checks accurately filled out and signed,
  • Make sure daily cash deposit completed,
  • Make sure your work area and storage areas are cleaned up.
  • Make sure your bar is properly maintained, and notify manager of any items that need to be replaced or ordered.
  • Smile and be friendly guest services to all our guests and team members.
  • Be welcoming & knowledgeable of beverages as well as event.
  • Requisition any additional product needed.

Impeccable Facilities:

  • Maintain a clean uniform & appearance standards according to appearance policy.
  • Maintain and clean all banquet storage/preparation areas.
  • Check areas in banquet rooms to insure cleanliness during service.
  • Report spills & problems to managers as soon as possible.
  • As you walk throughout the hotel you will pick up and encounter trash in public areas. Do your best to clean it up and if you can’t complete it please report it to someone who can.
  • Clean-up banquet room facilities properly and efficiently. Clean the banquet kitchen, clear all dirty dishes and glassware.

Superb Cuisine:

  • Ensure customer complaints are dealt with immediately and in professional manner.
  • Report food /beverage related issues to Chef and Banquet manager.
  • Make sure you are serving high quality food/beverage.

Cafeteria Attendant

We are looking for a full-time Cafeteria Attendant to join our team with the hours of 9am-5pm, to include weekends and holidays at a starting wage of $8.23 per hour. The Cafeteria Attendant provides hotel employees lunch and dinner in a sanitary and clean environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for preventing waste and utilizing all products to minimize food cost.
  • Must be able to be able to be to make quick correct decisions, and handle large volume production.
  • Responsible for keeping the cafeteria and all storage areas clean and up to standards that exceed the health department standards.
  • Check out with his/ her supervisor at the end of their shift, notifying of any items that are missing or that they have not completed
  • All production items are wrapped/covered, dated, initialed, labeled and stored properly.
  • Following recipes and prep lists as directed by his/her supervisor.
  • Properly cooking and or displaying all food at set standards.
  • Turn on steam table.
  • Unlock cabinets and coolers and store locks in secure place.
  • Ensure beverages and ice are stocked and in good working condition
  • Make list of items needed from kitchen & storeroom. Collect stock and supplies needed.
  • Check with Sous Chef and cook for special items needed in relation to daily menu offerings.
  • Return to cafe with items and store in designated areas.
  • Ensure that the Café is well stocked with dinning utensils.
  • During lunch and dinner, keep food and beverage bars full and clean.
  • Notify Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef if food is not good or of poor appearance.
  • Wipe down and sanitize tables as needed.
  • Break down cold bar, cover food, and put away.
  • Reset for for next period.
  • Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times to hotel team members.
  • Adhere to all Hotel and Department policies and procedures.
  • Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsible for the booking and coordination of short term (90 day lead time) catering events and room blocks of less than 10, wedding room blocks and holiday parties. Responsible for the coordination of weddings and larger catering events and conferences as well. Consult daily with the Revenue Manager and Director of Sales concerning short term business and how it relates to the sales success of the hotel by attending and participating in the daily revenue management meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receive requests from clients requiring space and guestrooms.
  • Consult Delphi to determine space and guestroom availability for dates and times requested.
  • Determine suitability of space and rooms for requested events. Assign meeting rooms and block guestrooms.
  • Manage the booking and coordination of wedding and short term business of new and current accounts to maximize guestroom and food and beverage revenue. Responsible for administrative efforts to perform these tasks, i.e. Group Sales Agreement and Banquet Event Orders. Track to ensure groups receive and return signed contracts and billing information.
  • Probe the client’s needs for: guestrooms, suites, desired dates, day of the week patterns, program agendas, food and beverage requirements and degree of flexibility in each of these areas.
  • When available, obtain information on group’s past history. (i.e. previous rooms picked up, arrival/departure pattern, and double occupancy percentage.)
  • Review availability of client’s requested dates and research any alternative dates which should be offered. The dates presented to clients should satisfy their needs while allowing the hotel to maximize occupancy and average rate.
  • Negotiate with clients the day(s) of the week that rooms and space will be needed and held, the number of rooms that will be blocked for each day and group rates (within guidelines set by the Director of Sales and Revenue Manager).
  • Oversee, manage and track the way in which reservations are made, the pickup of group blocks, adherence to cut off dates, and any subsequent adjustment to room blocks (positive or negative).
  • Work closely with banquet and kitchen management regarding function coordination and changes that arise. Meet with hotel on-site personnel on a weekly basis to discuss details.
  • Contact clients while in-house to be certain all is in order and going well and maintain strong relationships for future business.
  • Conduct post-event follow-up with clients to determine level of satisfaction and ask for additional business.
  • Attend industry related events and networking functions.
  • Responsible for Manager on Duty rotation shift.

SUMMARY
The Director of Catering is responsible for the prospecting, selling, and coordination of catering meetings and banquet events. The Director of Catering oversees and leads the overall efforts of the catering department, focusing on strategy development, employee development, and driving the sales and customer service initiatives of the department and hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall leadership and responsibility for the hotel’s catering sales efforts.
  • Grow existing accounts and generate new business through networking and prospecting with existing and potential customers for future and short-term meetings and banquet events.

Responsible for the administrative efforts to perform these tasks, i.e. Group Sales Agreements and Banquet Event Orders.
  • Work with Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef on catering menu development and pricing to maximize profit.
  • Work closely with our banquets department to successfully execute events.
  • Work closely with and mentor the Catering Sales Managers.
  • Work closely with banquet and kitchen management regarding function coordination and changes that arise. Meet with hotel staff on a weekly basis to discuss details.
  • Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing, General Manager, and RevMAX Team concerning how bookings relate to the sales success of the hotel.
  • Contact clients while in-house to be certain all is in order and going well and handle any last minute needs as they arise.
  • Conduct exit interviews with clients to determine level of satisfaction and prospect for additional business.
  • Send letters of appreciation to clients.
  • Maintain active membership in community organizations that provide benefit to the hotel and/or for career development. Participate in specific industry associations for networking and educational growth with the focus on building new relationships.

Monitor and develop staff with overall responsibilities for activities of chefs, cooks, and other personnel involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with quality standards, productivity standards, cost controls, and forecast needs. Organizes and conduct meetings with the culinary team. Monitors team performance, product quality and production flow. Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for all outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

  • Responsible for organization and sanitation of walk in, reach ins and storage areas that located on the first floor.
  • Monitor that all items in production are properly labeled with item, date, and initialed. Also all food should be in a clean container condensing as needed as product is used.
  • Items are pulled out of the freezer before they are needed and properly thawed with the date of when the item was thawed
  • Notify front of the house manager if anything is not available from the menu also copy the Executive Chef.
