AM Room Service Attendant

Part Time – AM. Applicants must flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. This position serves guests food and beverages to their rooms. Follows procedures in taking guest’s order i.e., uses MICROS system correctly and to its fullest capacity. Serves guests’ order promptly and according to established standards, policies and procedures. Smiles! Knows all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relays that information to the guest in a direct, concise way. Checks food before serving it to guests to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct, and accompaniments are complete. Picks up trays en route back to station and during slow periods. Does all pre-opening, running and after closing side work according to side work lists.
Previous customer service experience strongly preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Excellent communication skills and pleasant personality at must!

Banquet Houseperson or Houseperson Lead

Part Time – AM/PM shifts. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsible for manual set up and break down of banquet functions to desired specification, maintaining A/V equipment, and service and refreshment of functions as needed. Must possess basic English language communication skills; and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment on a continuous basis throughout the shifts. Must be able to work as part of a team.

Banquet Server

Part Time; AM or PM – Must be flexible. Must be available to work weekends a minimum of 2-4 shifts per week. Additional availability is a plus. Responsible for meal set-up, service of food and clean-up for each meal function while providing outstanding service to our guests. Must be able to work as part of a team. Previous serving experience a must in a banquet and/or restaurant setting. This position will require carrying trays of 8-10 plated meals. Outgoing, pleasant personality is a must!

Bartender (Part Time, PM’s & Weekends)

Part Time – Shifts require 2-3 days per week. Must be flexible to work PM shifts during the week and AM/PM shifts on weekends. Duties include: greet and serve guests at the bar with drinks and food. Ability to pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications; fill orders for the Food and Cocktail Servers; write drink orders; handle cash and credit transactions; clean and change and empty trash cans, as necessary; fill and clean ice bins; stock beer and wine coolers; clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders and soda guns. Responsible for notifying manager when a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests. Record accurate “tip out” sheets. Previous bartending experience is desired, but willing to train the right person.

Bell Captain

Full Time – AM/PM shifts to include weekends and holidays. (7-3pm or 3-11pm)
The hotel has an opening for a full time Bell Captain to lead our Bell Services Team. We are looking for someone who enjoys leading and being a part of a team, recognizes the importance of providing exceptional service and can give our guests a positive, memorable experience every day. This full time position requires a mixture of morning and evening shifts. Weekends required.

The Bell Captain will provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, to ensure the guest experience is one that is beyond the expectations of the guest and aligned with our vision of Extraordinary Service.

As a Bell Captain you would be responsible for supervising Bellpersons, driving guests to local venues, transferring and storing guest luggage and responding to guest requests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver exceptional guest service. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations – Retrieve and transport guest luggage – Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with these rooms and their features – Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner – Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines – Supervise, monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward – Recruit, interview and train team members – Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events – Assist in the maintenance, appearance and functionality of equipment”

Bell Services

The Madison Concourse Hotel is seeking a Bell Service person to join their team! The bell services staff is responsible for providing a warm and friendly welcome, escorting guests to and from their rooms, assisting with luggage, valeting vehicles and driving our guest shuttles to and from the airport and various Madison area locations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for great guest service and ensure that guests feel at home. In this highly visible role, the bell staff is responsible for assisting guests with everything from directions to dining reservations. A successful candidate is outgoing, friendly, enjoys guest interaction, resolving problems and working in a fast paced environment. This position is full-time, year round. Shifts will vary to include weekends and holidays.

Breakfast Line Cook

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is seeking a Full Time AM line cook to join our culinary team! The line cook is responsible for preparing food that results in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues. Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill is required. Successful candidates will have 2 or more years line cook experience in a fast paced atmosphere. Breakfast experience is desired. Must have the ability to work as part of a dynamic team to consistently deliver a quality product. Shift of 6AM – 2PM to include weekends and holidays.

Dishwasher (Full Time - PM’s)

Front Desk Agent

Full Time. Shifts will be 4-5 days per week, including weekends, which consist of 8 hour shifts between 6AM-11PM (6AM-2PM/7AM-3PM/3PM-11PM). Front Desk Agent duties include:
Greet and register incoming guests, ensuring that guests are properly introduced to the hotel and its amenities. Process guest folios and collect payment. Administer and manage cash handling responsibilities. Provide appropriate phone etiquette to all callers. Maintain efficient and effective flow of information with guests, team members, managers, and sales department, housekeeping and food and beverage departments. Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and with courtesy. Relay appropriate tourism information to guests about local areas of interest. Prepare for guest arrivals. Receive and distribute guest mail and deliveries. Control inventory and distribution of hotel keys.

Applicants with customer service and front desk experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of the Madison area and attractions are also preferred. Applicants must be outgoing and personable with a pleasant, attentive personality.

Housekeeping Room Attendant

Full Time. Shifts beginning at 7:30AM. Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join our team as a Housekeeping Room Attendant. Room Attendants are responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests. The right housekeeper must be able to communicate in English and have good organizational abilities, follow up-skills, and attention to detail in their work.

Line Cook (PM)

Full Time. Available shifts are 1-9pm, 2-10pm, or 3-11pm, including weekends and holidays.

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is seeking a Full Time Line Cook to join our culinary team! The line cook is responsible for preparing food that results in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues. Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill is required. Successful candidates will have 2 or more years line cook experience in a fast paced atmosphere. Fine Dining culinary experience is preferred. Must have the ability to work as part of a dynamic team to consistently deliver a quality product.

Maintenance Engineer Technician

Full Time Shifts are mostly 7AM-3PM and are a mixture of weekends and weekdays.

The Madison Concourse Hotel is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This position’s responsibility includes maintaining the functionality of our hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces and staff areas. The general maintenance engineer must be able to perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry, etc. Previous experience in a corporate facilities maintenance position or equivalent education, is preferred.

Night Auditor

Full Time – Third shift, 11PM-7AM with 4 shifts/week (Sat, Sun, Wed & Thurs). Responsible for all of the orderly processing of the hotel’s daily financial transactions, including posting of all guest room charges, restaurant receipts and banquet functions. Also acts as a Front Desk Representative by checking guests in and out using HIS (a Windows based computer system) answering hotel switchboard, answering guest service phone calls and attending to guests’ questions and concerns.

PBX Telephone Operator

Full Time – PM shifts between are 3PM-11PM (for example 4PM-9PM or 5PM-10PM) to include weekends and holidays.
Responsible for answering all switchboard calls; shipping, receiving and logging packages; handling the guest requests; coordinating guest transportation; assisting the front desk during heavy traffic times and auditing the Sundries register. Must have excellent communication skills and general computer skills. Outgoing, pleasant personality a must!

PM Restaurant Server/Host or Hostess

Part Time – Evening shifts 2-3 days per week and must be available weekends.
The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for an PM Server/Host to join their team in the Dayton Street Grille. We are looking for someone who enjoys being a part of a team, recognizes the importance of providing exceptional service and can give our guests a memorable experience every day. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required. Qualified applicants must be available to work 5PM-10PM.
Previous serving experience is preferred, but will train the right individual.

Restaurant Busser (AM)

Part Time – Mixture of weekdays and weekends. 6:30am-3pm. Clear glasses, plates and silverware. Sort and stack clean/dirty glasses and silverware. Set/reset tables according to standard. Set up service stations and restock throughout the shift. Perform cleaning and side work duties as assigned. Assist servers and the host/hostess with duties as needed. Break down service stations and dining room after closing. Must be able to carry 30-40 pounds and be able to stand for 8+ hours. Must possess good communication skills and ability to work with a team.

Restaurant Supervisor

Full Time – Applicant must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. The candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, with a passion for serving upscale food and wine. This position requires flexibility; on a given night the supervisor could be asked to fill the following roles: server-host-room service-expeditor. The position would most likely consist of 3 supervising shifts in a given week, with more shifts available as a Host or server if the candidate is looking for full time hours. The ideal candidate would have a background in serving, with server/trainer experience preferred. Experience as a supervisor is great, but not a must. Experience with wine service is a major plus.
Supports the Dayton Street Grille in providing Extraordinary Service, Impeccable Facilities and Superb Cuisine to our guests! Assists the restaurant management in daily restaurant operations, staff supervision, communication and training. Responsible for the security of payment and transactions, replenish supplies and inventory. Ensure that all equipment is in operation condition and cleaned on a regular basis.
