Bartender (Part Time, PM’s & Weekends)

The Bar located within the hotel has an opening for a Bartender. We are looking for someone who enjoys being a part of a team, recognizes the importance of providing exceptional service and can give our guests a memorable experience every day. This part time position is 3-5 days per week with a mixture of evening and weekend shifts. Weekends are required.

The Bartender will provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, to ensure the guest experience is one that is beyond the expectations of the guest and aligned with our vision of Extraordinary Service.

As a Bartender, you would be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service to our guests. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications. – Serve drinks and food to guests, along with filling orders for the Food and Cocktail Servers. – Handle cash and credit transactions. – Perform standard cleaning and stocking duties. – Perform other work duties as assigned

Bell Captain

The hotel has an opening for a full time Bell Captain to lead our Bell Services Team. We are looking for someone who enjoys leading and being a part of a team, recognizes the importance of providing exceptional service and can give our guests a memorable experience every day. This full time position requires a mixture of morning and evening shifts. Weekends required.

The Bell Captain will provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, to ensure the guest experience is one that is beyond the expectations of the guest and aligned with our vision of Extraordinary Service.

As a Bell Captain you would be responsible for supervising Bell staff, driving guests to local venues, transferring and storing guest luggage and responding to guest requests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver exceptional guest service. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations – Retrieve and transport guest luggage – Inspect guest rooms and acquaint guests with these rooms and their features – Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner – Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines – Supervise, monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward – Recruit, interview and train team members – Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events – Assist in the maintenance, appearance and functionality of equipment

Front Desk Agent

The city’s largest convention hotel offers 356 guest rooms, 27,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, Dayton Street Grille, The Bar, fitness center, underground parking, indoor pool and the exclusive Governor’s Club executive level.

The Madison Concourse Hotel is seeking a Front Desk Agent (Guest Services Representative) to join their front office team. This person acts as the face of the hotel to all guests upon arrival. This position interacts with guests and patrons as an ambassador of the hotel. Qualified applicants must be comfortable speaking on the phone, and able to work in a fast-pace environment. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for registering incoming guests and ensuring that they are comfortable in the hotel. This is a full-time position, with shifts four to five days a week. The shifts are usually 8 hours, typically between 7AM-3PM or 3-11PM (5 days per week), but can be mid-day shifts as well, including weekends and/or holidays. Knowing your way around the city and all of its attractions is a must. Previous hotel experience is preferred, but a customer service background is required.

Job duties include: greet and register incoming guests, ensuring that guests are properly introduced to the hotel and its amenities. Process guest folios and collect payment. Administer and manage cash handling responsibilities. Provide appropriate phone etiquette to all callers. Maintain efficient and effective flow of information with guests, team members, managers, and sales department, housekeeping and food and beverage departments. Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and with courtesy. Relay appropriate tourism information to guests about local areas of interest. Prepare for guest arrivals. Receive and distribute guest mail and deliveries. Control inventory and distribution of hotel keys. Knowledge of the Madison area and attractions strongly preferred. Starbucks Barista

The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for part time Starbucks Barista’s, with a three shift minimum requirement per week. Flexible shifts available, to include weekends and holidays between the hours of 5:15am or 7:00am until 10:00am or 2:00pm. These positions have potential for full-time status.

This position contributes to the Hotel’s success by providing extraordinary service, impeccable facilities, and superb cuisine to all customers and guests. This job creates the Starbucks Experience within our Hotel for our guests and customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
