AM Front Desk Agent

The Madison Concourse Hotel is seeking a full-time AM Front Desk Agent to join their front office team. This person acts as the face of the hotel to all guests upon arrival. This position interacts with guests and patrons as an ambassador of the hotel. Qualified applicants must be comfortable speaking on the phone, and able to work in a fast-pace environment. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for registering incoming guests and ensuring that they are comfortable in the hotel. The shifts are typically 8 hour shifts, between 7am-3pm (5 days per week), but can be mid-day shifts as well, including weekends and holidays. Knowing your way around the city and all of its attractions is a must. Previous hotel experience is preferred, but a customer service background is required. Banquet Captain

SUMMARY
The Banquet Captain supervises and coordinates activities of banquet waitstaff during banquets to ensure that food and beverages are served promptly by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Extraordinary Service:
1. Coordinate setting up of banquet facility.
2. Directly reports all meal functions to Banquet Manager including any problems, time changes, etc.
3. Consult with Banquet Manager on such items as serving arrangements and additional employees and equipment needed.
4. Make sure all set-ups are done according to contract, make sure they are running on time and that clean-up is proper and complete.
5. Train all new wait staff on the proper banquet wait staff procedures and provide feedback.
6. Read contracts and be aware of special items, i.e. dietary needs, veggie-meals, etc.
7. Responsible for serving alcoholic beverages at functions, i.e. wine service.
8. Supervise the wait staff for each meal function. Make sure they are maintaining their share of the responsibilities, finding work during slow times, etc.
9. Serve meals to guests with courtesy, knowledge and proper attitude. Continue to service tables until they are finished.
10. Ensure banquet is running smoothly, i.e. glasses are filled, food is served and tables are cleared in a timely fashion.
11. Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by banquet manager.
12. Smile and be friendly to our guests and team members.
13. Make sure Captain’s report is filled out before leaving.
14. Supervise and direct staff to insure that our guests are served with proper attitude and efficiently.
15. Attend all Waitstaff meetings that are scheduled.

Impeccable Facilities:
1. Make sure you and staff is properly uniformed per our appearance policy.
2. Keep all work areas neat & tidy.
3. Check areas in banquet rooms to insure cleanliness during service.
4. Report spills & problems to managers as soon as possible.
5. As you walk throughout the hotel you will pick up and encounter trash in public areas. Do your best to clean it up and if you can’t complete it please report it to someone who can.
6. Maintain & clean all banquet storage/preparation areas.
7. Clean-up banquet room facilities properly and efficiently. Clean the banquet kitchen, clear all dirty dishes, glassware and silverware.

1. Check each course and insure is correct for service.

Banquet Cleaner

The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for a Banquet Cleaner! This candidate needs to be a hard worker with the ability to pay great attention to detail and have a positive attitude! This is a position which generally works 3 ten hour shifts Friday – Sunday beginning at 5:30 a.m. An additional fourth shift may be available.

  • Aid groups with special requests and various needs.
  • Assist wait staff in setting up of rooms as needed. Put water in all meeting rooms prior to the start of a meeting. Fill all water glasses needed for all meal functions.

SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates activities in the dining room and to provide fast and courteous service to our patrons by performing the following duties listed below.

MAIN DUTIES:
— To provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests.
— To escort guests to the table, seat them, provides menus pour water, remove extra setting if necessary.
— To take table reservations and effectively control the flow of the guests in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover.
— To answer telephone calls and handle inquiry’s.
— To assist in the operation during busy periods.
— To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu.
— To ensure that the reception desk and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
— To handle guest complaints, requests and inquires on food, beverage and service.
— To establish a report with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
— To collect check payment, from server or customers and close out checks accordingly.
— To tip-out servers and the end off the shift, run cash-out receipt at the end of shift, verify sales and make the necessary drop.
— To count to ensure that cash register is $300 dollars for the following shift or following day.

Restaurant Supervisor

The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for a full-time Restaurant Supervisor at Circ! This candidate needs to be a leader and must have flexible availability, including AM’s, PM’s, weekends, and holidays. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, with a passion for serving upscale food and wine.

Since this position requires flexibility and on a given shift (night) the supervisor could be asked to fill various roles, such as a server, host, or room service attendant. The ideal candidate would have a background in serving, with server/trainer experience preferred. Experience as a supervisor is great, but not a must. Experience with wine service, is a major plus.

The Restaurant Supervisor supports the Circ Restaurant in providing Extraordinary Service, Impeccable Facilities and Superb Cuisine to our guests! In addition to, assisting restaurant management in daily restaurant operations, staff supervision, communication and training. Room Attendant

The full time position is of various shift lengths starting at 8AM, including weekends and holidays. Part-time can be as few as 1-2 shifts per week.

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring a pleasant, safe and comfortable stay for hotel guests by maintaining room cleanliness and attending our guest’s needs. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The ability to communicate (verbal and written) with other staff members and guests, in English, is preferred.
