Lake Monona Loop

Monona Lake Loop is Madison's most popular bike trail, and for good reason! It's a 12-mile loop around Lake Monona and it offers some of the best views of the city, especially the stretch along John Nolen Drive. Along the way, you'll go from the heart of downtown Madison to quiet, lakeside neighborhoods. Keep an eye out for Monona Bait & Ice Cream near mile seven!

No bike? No problem. Renting a bike from Madison BCycle is a breeze. There are rental stations everywhere, and the closest one is just around the corner from the hotel!

"The Lake Monona bike path is a little over 12 miles. It weaves through fun neighborhoods along the lake. You can stop at parks or an ice cream shop if you want. It's good for running, biking, or even rollerblading!"
